
Trainings in the field of public procurement for local self-governments
Aleksandra Litricin and Sasa Varinac, lawyers and experts in the field of public procurement, on 23rd and 24th September 2021 held the last of ten trainings on public procurement for local self-governments. Previous trainings were held on -line. The trainings are part of the USAID Government Accountability Initiative project and were conducted according to the expressed needs of local self-governments in the Republic of Serbia. As part of the planned activities, a publication will be issued in a form of practical Manual with the most frequently asked questions and answers in the field of public procurement. The Project supports efforts to increase public participation in local government decision making and oversight and enhance the transparency and accountability of local self-governments operations. Technical assistance is provided to 25 counterpart local self-governments to increase anti-corruption efforts, transparency, and public participation; improve government responsiveness in public service delivery; strengthen local budgeting and finances; institutionalize whistleblower protection programs and public procurement accountability.
